1. Who this is

This website and chatbot are operated by Ata Selim, an individual creator, not a company. If you have questions about these terms, contact almostintunebook@gmail.com.

2. What this service is

almostintunebook.com is a companion website to the book Frequency: Almost in Tune. It offers:

  • Information about the book and a link to purchase it on Amazon
  • An AI chatbot that answers questions based on the book's philosophy and principles

The chatbot is built on a general-purpose AI model, guided by instructions written for this project. It is designed to reflect the ideas in the book, not to replace them. It is not a therapist, counselor, doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, or any kind of licensed professional, and nothing it says should be treated as professional advice.

3. Who can use this

This service is intended for users aged 16 and older. If you are under 16, please don't create an account or use the chatbot without a parent or guardian's involvement.

4. Accounts and the free tier

  • You may sign in using Google, Apple, or a magic link sent to your email.
  • Signed-in accounts receive a limited number of chatbot messages per calendar month, currently 15, which resets at the start of each month. This limit may change over time.
  • A short, uncounted preview is available before signing in.
  • You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account.

5. Acceptable use

When using this site or chatbot, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to bypass, manipulate, or extract the chatbot's underlying instructions or system prompt
  • Use the chatbot to generate content unrelated to its intended purpose, or to attempt to make it act as a different, unrestricted AI
  • Abuse, scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to overload the service
  • Use the service for anything illegal, or in a way that could harm another person

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.

6. A note on sensitive topics

If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, the chatbot is instructed to prioritize pointing you toward real crisis resources over continuing an ordinary conversation. It is not a substitute for professional or emergency help. If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services.

7. Intellectual property

The book's text, the principles it's built on, and the chatbot's responses derived from them are the intellectual property of the author. You may use the chatbot for your own personal, non-commercial reflection and use. You may not republish, resell, or redistribute its output as your own work, or use it to build a competing product.

8. No warranty

This service, including the chatbot, is provided "as is." The chatbot may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or fail to reflect the book's ideas correctly. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of this site is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this service. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the service evolves. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
